If the case is agreeable, why do you need an attorney?  You still need an attorney to make sure that everything is done correctly, property, debts, and assets are divided correctly, and that custody and support issues are done correctly.  Even if you have no children or property, you can have problems if the forms are not submitted correctly.  Additionally, in many counties, if you hire an attorney, we can do the entire case without anyone having to appear in Court.  If you attempt to handle your own case, besides the fact you may make mistakes that actually cost you more time and money, you will additionally be required to appear in Court.

Our services are not for everyone, and we don't take every case.  We typically take cases where the parties are civil, agreeable, and want to save time and money.  The parties don't want to spend years and several thousand dollars each, both hiring an attorney to fight about it by the hour.  They simply want an attorney prepare all of the documents as agreed upon by both parties, and make the process go as quickly, affordably, and smoothly as possible.  They want this to be done at one, simple flat rate, rather than by the hour.  They don't want to fight and drag it out; they don't want to make it hard on themselves or the children.  These are the kind of cases where we can be of great assistance and provide great value.

Of course, this is not always possible, and uncontested divorces are not for everyone.
